Country music has always evolved but  yes I don't like every single record because it's "country"
Let's be honest Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 period was pop & not real "country" to it & Willie  Nelson is a "jazz" man.

Looks like you stumbled into the right place.  I feel just like you about the new stuff.  However, some of the new stuff has the old country sound so you never know without listening.  ;D

I just stumbled across this web site, and I must say I am overwhelmed.   I have been a country fan since the mid 1970s.  Lost interest in new country records sometime in the 90's when you
could not tell where the line was drawn.   Started collecting 40's to the 60's albums 5 or 6 years ago in addition to the stuff I grew up with.
